Little Tasmanian
Stories
Little Tasmanian aims to bring the Tasmanian story into the lives of new Tasmanians in their early years, and connect parents and carers with Tasmania-relevant information about the first 1,000 days. The message of ‘someone like you did it, and you can do it too’ began as one for children, to encourage aspiration, confidence, and pride from the very beginning. But again and again, parents, carers, and service providers spoke about the importance of this message for people in the thick of the parenting journey.
Each of these stories is of a member of our Tasmanian village. Read on to find someone just like you who has been where you are.
